The power of our choices good, bad, indifferent. How they affect you the person, and the rest of your lineage, and the lineage of humanity. Destruction and death are just around the corner, if we do not turn our hearts, our minds, our faith beliefs back to Jesus Christ, we are in for a rude awakening, I kid you not! Today the church was jammed packed with people, unusual for this time of year. Alot of new faces have been entering into Mary's Chapel. Is it perhaps Mary herself is drawing us closer to her Son? I believe this to be true with all my heart. Typically the congregation begins their travels to and from family and or friends and family are in town for a visit before and or after Easter. Locals become tourists in other countries, and tourists become locals, right here. Today, we welcome the beauty of spring weather, a glorious 78 degrees! The hummingbirds are here, red wing hawks, swallow tails, cardinals, singing a lovely melody as they camoflage themselves in the beautiful magnolia tree blooming its heart out. The azaleas have purple, white, yellow iris are like a painting within our landscape, the blueberry shrubs are abundant with fruit, oh yes, spring has sprung ever so beautifully. The most unusual and rare pattern of cooler weather still remains in the air and everyone is out walking their dogs, getting in a great exercise together. I see the hand of God being overly gracious to us in the form of comfortable temperatures, keeping us high and dry from the excruciating sweltering heat, that is just months away. That too is God's precious gift to his people. God brings us many wonderful gifts seen and unseen, but the question is do we take the time to even appreciate what he is doing? We are afforded so many comforts, so many luxurious comforts, that are not always necessary but he gives them abundantly to us. The treausure trove of goodness given to us by God himself, may go unnoticed and perhaps unappreciated by many, but today I am learning to live more deeply in the love that my creator is bringing. He is revealing himself in the form of truth. And I am all ears this morning! I want to hear God speak to me about whats really going on in this world, and in his people. Why is there so much hate, so much division, so much anger, jealousy, I have never seen this amount all at once, at any given time, in our country. Our nation was built upon judeo Christian beliefs, and everyone respected each other, no one double crossed anyone, we knew our boundaries, we respected everyone, and had discussions that were meaningful, helpful, understanding, and bridge building. We did not debate, protest, or speak out of line. We as a people agreed to keep peace in our home land. And that worked very well for all of us, and as a nation, desiring to build up and not destroy another human being, nor did we ever assault another for their religious beliefs, to the contrary, we chose to respect and be respectful of one another for the betterment of humanity. Where on earth are the peacemakers of yesterday? Today something else is happening to the great fabric of America. It is being torn to shreds and everyone is hurting. We are being ripped at the seams, and we are a people spiraling out of control. We are on a path that appears very destructive. One that will be difficult to repair if we continue allowing this process to be left to its own demise. Prayers need to be said. We must all ask God to intervene for the sake of humanity. For the salvation of our country, its inhabitants, we must gain control because everything is out of control. All life is sacred, beginning/ending with God. Let's call on him for help, healing, and hope!
