Why do we as Catholic's spend a holy hour every week in front of the most blessed sacrament? The answer is simple. Prayer especially silent prayer being said from ones heart to Christ, is the fuel in the tank that feeds the heart, the mind, the soul, and the body, of every Christian. We were born to be in Christ Jesus. And this is one very important step each and everyone of us can take in maturing in our walk with Christ. His help comes directly to us through every conversation, every prayer, every petition we ask for, in his most holy name, we trust in the outcome of Christ's own choosing. Prayer frees us completely to live a life as a Christian, trusting completely in Gods plans for our daily survival. Prayer is a healing balm that feeds the soul. Christians fast, and in that fast sacrifice their needs, and offer them up for others, who need more than what our own needs require. One can suffer greatly through physical illness, or even poverty, and as a Catholic Christian, you and I can fast, and pray, and sacrifice our personal wants and needs for others. Why do we offer up our sacrifices to God for them? Simply because many cannot help themselves, their situation is so dire, they need assistance now! As Christians we know that we cannot just sit back and do nothing. Our God is counting on his children to act, pray, serve, when called. Prayer once again is the fuel in the tank that propels us to do more than just stand idle. In and through prayer we become active in serving Christ and his children.
Find an adoration chapel and enter into the holy of the holies! You will find Jesus waiting there for you, to help you grow in maturity, and agape love. He will show you how to empty your mind of your self centered ways. He will heal your broken heart and replace it with a new heart. Back in Jesus's day there were no medications, all men and women relied on faith. They were prayerful, hopeful, people, who attended daily mass, went to confession often, fasted, and were loyal to their loved ones. Jesus Christ was their only medicine. And believe me when I tell you, when you go to church and you find Jesus, and you connect with him personally, your illnesses will disapate, God is the ultimate healer of man and woman. Man and woman cannot be God. Only God can be himself. We can only be his children. I have been walking with Christ for quite some time, and I do believe I live deeply in the recessess of his heart while I am on a pilgrimage traversing this earth with my loved ones until he comes again for me! He welcomed me into my mothers womb, and my mother god bless her heart is still here with us! And all of my ancestors, live on iniside of me. And that is a beautiful representation of who I am. Their love for the faith, for Jesus and Mary, and all the saints, were passed down to me! And I feel exponentially blessed because I know in my spirit they are alive, as I write this podcast tonight, they are alive in and through me helping me to help others get to heaven. And that my brothers and sisters is the true mission that our precious Lord and Savior has me on. We are all given an assignment by Christ. Christ wants more from us, than we are willing to give. When we awaken to this reality, we get to work, we run, and not walk, to the adoration chapel to be with Jesus, and to listen to him speak directly to our hearts. It is in the blessed sacrament that the greatest conversion takes place inside the heart and soul of every man and woman. We were meant to experience the love of Christ there, because outside of those walls the enemy awaits evey opportunity to devour Gods most prized creation. You and Me. Let's make every effort to win souls for Christ beginning with our very own. Amen.
