All of creation, created by God were meant to imitate Christ!  Men and women living etxraordinary lives through their mystical and spiritual practices and experiences who have gone before us leave behind a remenant of truths for us to uncover.  In essence they are our mentors, we look up to them and their great works, I believe they are Gods living treasures withstanding the test of time, given to us, to imitate, to inspire us to live centered and truly holier lives in the Holy Spirit, because we are in fact sons and daughters of the holy one, the Christ!  We immitate Christ, not only through our love, but the great love for the church, from the very beginning of the Catholic Faith and Church History.  Holy scripture is one of the greatest of all books read and meditated upon and studied by scholars, theologians, and seculars like you and me, who greatly desire a more of an indepth meaningful purposeful life and faith walk with Christ Jesus that is genuine.  When I denounced my life and gave my life totally back to Christ, on March 16, 1990, Saint Patricks Day, it was then a new life had begun within me, my paternal grandmother had to die before my eyes in order for me to see life more clearly.  My old self died to the selfish tendencies that I began to notice was really drying up my soul leaving me empty and void as a person, I had nothing to offer myself or anyone.  But, fortunately something very good came out of something very bad.  Thanks to Saint Patrick, and being reminded of him on his very special feast day, I was completely awakened, alarmingly so to the truth of my soul.  St Patrick, came to me personally, God knew that I had needed a big event in my life  to acknowledge in God's great timing, I was no longer to remain a person outside of Gods ways.  Totally I became awaken from my stuper, and that light of truth had me on a journey figuring out who had been, and who I had wanted to become in Christ.  Do you ever feel God tugging on your heart asking you to reawaken?  I think when we are living in the darkness, for too long, it is that much harder for the light to penetrate, but with a huge event such as this was for me, a death of a cherished loved, because thats what it took for me to realize, I was spiralling out of control.  We have to ask ourselves this question, does something feel terribly wrong deep  within our inner being, and then we need to go and search out our Lord to help us find the answers we are looking for.  We are either growing in our faith or we are falling prey to the evil tendencies.  It takes maturity, honesty, and a desire to be obedient in Christ, to overcome our past weakness to sin.  When we are forgiven of our every sin, when we receive reconciliation with a great priest, a holy priest, joy refills the heart once wounded from sin, cleansed fully, because Christ wants all of us to live in his Joy.  And to live in him is Purest Joy.  So do not ever fear to empty out the filth lining the very depth of your soul to the holy one.  He wants to forgive you. Because you are divinely his.To be locked into sin, ball and chain, and remain there indefintely- is to live in perpetual darkness with the evil one.  Sure he would have you stay there forever and stop you from getting to heaven.  So we as Catholics must have this keen awarness of how the evil one works, versus the holy one who draws you closer to imitating the lives of the saints who have earned their eternal reward, and one day we too will have our turn to do the same.  There is no time to waste.  We must take the gift of time and do something extraordinary with it- for Christ, his people, who were meant to be the living fruit as future saints!  God never takes his eyes off of us, so then, we too, should never-ever - take our eyes off of Him!
