Discovering the truth of our faith and our God together, can be a very exciting experience. When we choose to enter into the presence of God something unique happens to the individual and their new life in Christ is enriched. Truth is, we unlock the treasure of all truth leading us to eternity. When we invite ourselves into the holy and living presence of God, God wants to meet us truly He does, exactly where we are. Imperfect he calls on us exactly where we are and in that imperfection He reveals his perfection and we are so attracted to Him, we desire to learn and follow in His presence. We will never be as perfect, but we can surely strive to become better people and who better to teach us than our Lord himself.
In discovering God, and desiring to rediscover our faith, we discover who we are. Not always a pretty picture, none the less, we work hard to establish a new sense of purpose with attainable goals with Christ guiding us. Our curiousity about God is a good place to start. And we can slowly take that curiousity to the next level by being real in our dialogue with him about our current concern. And we pray for the guidance and wisdom to come to us through our humility in recognizing we cannot overcome our weakness, without his strength.
Letting God enter into the heart and soul of who we are, it is then, we meet Him empowered. God amps up our lives, to the degree none of us can attain without Him. Surely, we can try to do everything without God and see how far that goes when all is said and done, but we can also have God be inclusive in everything so that what ever we are doing, He can bless and bring us further in living out our best life.
I think of our Lord as a great compass, with Him we are never lost, with Him, we are never confused, He somehow someway makes everything better, clearer, meaningful and joyful. He completes in us what we all yearn for, a life of truth, where we feel safe growing in His holy presence. And we are estatic and satisfied because being in the company of Jesus is enough!
When we get to such a place it is as if we have just completed a marathon and won the race! God the greatest of all teachers, teaches us, what is most important in life. He fills the gaps with love and reasoning and we are ok staying right where we are, within His company for the duration of our earthly life. We build upon the love that God teaches, and we want more. And when our eyes our hearts our minds are totally focused upon Him, we are no longer of this world, but of heaven and the beautiful promises of God freeing us and filling us with his goodness!
To have the comfort of His being within our company twenty four seven, is heaven on earth! That is a resource we have and we can tap into that well as often as needed. God loves order. And we learn how to be orderly. We learn how to be obedient. And that structured way of being and living is Christ himself living in us. We certainly can all strive to live a life in Christ. He is waiting for our total surrender. Are we prayerfully considering His proposition? Are we strong enough to let go and let God? If the answer is yes you are in for the time of your life. God can erase the bad in us. He can recreate the good in us. We just need to recognize Him and the importance of honoring Him and glorifying him and do everything that is pleasing in his sight.
We have to show God how beautiful and amazing we are deep down and bring that gift of self to Him and lay it at his feet. That my brothers and sisters is the love Christ is expecting of us. Question is, are we be strong enough to deliver? One great choice can prevent a million bad choices. So choose Christ, the best choice!
