We are told that the greatest weapon against all evil that the devil himself is afraid of is the recitation of the Holy Rosary. The blessed mother is depicted with her heel pressing against the snake, a symbol of the evil one. Sin unfortunately is running rampant in the world we live in. So many Catholics have walked away from the Catholic faith, even though they have received all the sacraments of their baptism, first holy communion, confession, confirmation, marriage in the church, etcetera. God has to be very sad, its heartbreaking to even write about it and talk about it but unfortunately this is the reality of where we are as a nation when it comes to faith first and foremost in God himself. We have become like Gods. Not needing our creator and denying the truths we were taught as Catholics that paved the way to the great life we were given to live. To forget Christ makes absolutely no sense whatsoever. And yet we choose damnation, it is absolutely horrible. You don't need to ever second guess why we as a people, we as a nation, are in the crossroads we are in, it is because of our choices of EGO, an acronym meaning to ease God out. We did a great job at taking prayer out of our schools, we began educating our youth about contraception, when we should have taught them about the bond of marriage between a man and a woman and procreation. Unfortunately, we have further destroyed the fabric of keeping great morals and great values in check. Our society clings to immorality, pornography, murdering future generations in the womb of their mother, and we wonder why everything in society has crippled itself like a disease becoming a deadly cancer killing us as we speak. This plan of ours has nothing to do with God. We must recognize this truth and look deeper into it. We wont exist as a generation if we continue on this path of moral destruction. God is giving us signs everywhere, has he gotten your personal attention yet? Gosh I hope so, we all need to embrace the truth about our reality today and pray without ceasing to burn away this intrinsic evil in the fire of black coal, embers and all, and beg Jesus for his forgiveness. We cannot sustain ourselves at this rate for much longer. We are imploding from the inside out and only God can save those who genuinely want salvation. Be prayerful, be diligent, be prudent as Father Paul Thomas spoke of today in his homily, we need to be closer to God as we go through the trials and tribulations of this life that are spiraling out of control. We are a broken generation, that needs prayer to heal a nation that has walked away from God, his truths, his commands, causing unnecessary anguish, pain, confusion, the list goes on and on, we need to return to the mass, and place ourselves and our intentions in the chalice of the precious blood of our Lord, and unite our cross with His, and if we could all do this daily, we will begin to see our world slowly begin to heal. In the meantime, we remain persistent as prayer warriors, join a rosary group, join a Third Order, volunteer your time for the greater glory of God, and your life will belong to Jesus, and Jesus will protect you in this life and well into the next. We are not only the body of Christ, but Christ's Military, we are the church militant, ready for battle of any kind. We serve a great God, who loves everyone he has ever created and we owe Him our personal best, don't miss this special opportunity to be involved with your faith at any level you are comfortable with. The joy that will fill your heart and the lives you touch will be the great gift you will lay at the foot of the Cross for our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. God wants to bless you today, give him your heart and soul, and he will give you eternity!
