Saints have a profound role and responsibility to guide the faithful properly. A great Saint who has accomplished this goal quite well is Saint Catherine Of Sienna. She personally was consumed with the fire of God's love. And because of that exact reason, she was sent to us by God to teach and preach his glory. We can find great truth in Saint Catherine today, her life, her legacy, is a truthful one, trustworthy and holy. We can rely completely on her "Dialogues" and learn the truth spoken to her directly from God.
Clearly illumined by Gods light Catherine brings us the light of his truth to live by. Catherine inspires us to enter into more deeply the light that is Christ. Let us aim high for Christ and his glory and not choose to deliberately live in the hidden darkness of sin. Clearly and concisely Catherine shows us the love of God, and to experience his love fully we need to work toward the light, it is there we accomplish everything because when we choose the light, we choose Christ. We can live happier, grace filled lives without entering into the darkness.
God has spoken to Catherine, and Catherine is speaking to us individually and personally, on a gut level, are we listening to the advise and truth God gave her? The honesty she shares cuts through the line of darkness separating God from evil. Let us choose the light, the truth, the goodness, and become great in Christ.
Catherine did not hold back God's truth, we are so very fortunate as Christians to receive this holy revelation of her dialogues, we can learn so much, and live truly live in totality with Christ. And in doing so we can enter into our mission with Christ as did Saint Catherine and build upon the truths we learn to help each other get to heaven.
This book has close to 400 pages. I highly recommend it to anyone seeking to delve into their faith, their church, their ministerial duties with the depth and love of truth we all need to know and live by as Catholic's. Saint Catherine of Sienna offers a great deal of knowledge, in Christ, for us to be aware of and apply to our daily living. I am so excited to be studying within the Dominican Order of saints, we are preachers, teachers, writers, theologians growing everyday in the light of Christ. I find it very empowering and I want to use this time well and not waste it by forgetting my God, my church, and his people. I want to know the faith, and share the faith in great detail, I want to know also know God better, and know myself better, through the great knowledge and wisdom of Saint Catherine of Sienna.
Over twenty years ago I was very fortunate to visit Sienna, Italy. I found it to be a serene and holy place as I walk the cobblestone streets, as I entered into the restaurants and met the locals, there was a specialness a difference in them as a people that stood out, I believe it was their faith, they were happy, kind, jovial, even when we went to the opera house a feeling of loved swept over you and it was a real treat, a gift I believe from God.
We the servants of God, after our worldly mission for Christ is done, I believe remnants of our love remain, tilling the soil of the souls that still linger. God can allow remnants of his people to be left on this earth as a hint of hope lingering in the air, one cannot quite put a finger on it but they know and sense and what they are sensing is God through his holy remmanent.
You and I are meant for greater things and we hope to accomplish every single one of them that God had originally planned. And the saints, they too, do a great job, in assisting us, and inspiring us in ways of getting there without any detour. The preciousness and pricelessness of you can never be duplicated again. Let us live in the fulness of our true destiny.
