Description

Taking our eyes off of our selves and placing our very eyes upon Christ.  Look at him on the cross! What do you see?  What is Jesus saying to your heart?  Gaze upon him.  And go deeper into the silence.  Stay there for just a while.  Give this time personally to Jesus.  Setting aside time for yourself.  You now desire to give your time to Jesus.  What exactly does that feel like to you?  How is that sacrifice of self fit into your life?  Are you comforted?  Are you struggling? You may not be sure, it may be too soon to say, but our Lord has to be pleased with you for taking this time to be in his presence.  When we take the free will that is given to us and we set it aside to be with Christ, a whole new life awaits us.  If you have never totally surrendered yourself to your King, your creator, you are about to embark upon an experience that will change and enrich your life.  This one important choice will restore in you all that has been put on hold or not fully understood by you until now.  Our greatest sense of purpose comes when we abandon our own desires and place Gods desires at the forefront of our lives.   It is then we begin to live, truly live out our life as Christians.  Our Lord sees this decision and he places within our hearts his heart to love, to serve, to live as he would live.  After all we are all Christ's children.  And his plans for us are greater than any plan we could imagine on our own.  Who better to follow than our creator, who better to serve than our brothers and sisters in Christ.  Together, the greatest works shall be revealed.  In choosing Christ today, we get to live and serve in him forever.  It is definitely, the better choice.  And when we choose Christ the greatest of all fruits come to fruition in and through our precious Lord.  We become receptive to Christ.  We listen more attentively to his voice, and we are informed properly on how to live a life fully in his presence, and fully in his peace.  Our Lord waits for us to respond to his invitation to love. Let us live and love selflessly for Christ.  Let us show Christ we are willing to sacrifice ourselves for the greater glory of God and of neighbor.   Our efforts, our good intentions, in what we have done already for ourselves, can now be done for others.  We need to switch gears in our heart and mind, that deny the good of another.  We need to look at why we cannot extend that olive branch, especially when we are asked by God to be servants of the Christ that created us all.  Let us rethink about this and all the gifts our Lord has given to us over the course of our very lives, and let us rethink about how we want to live out the life he gave us, will we be leaving a lasting legacy, or will we leave a complete disaster in our wake?  Remember this.  God is watching.  God is waiting.  We need to decide.  We can't be flippy floppy, we must be straight forward in all our decisions for Christ.  They have to have truth, meaning, and purpose.  All our decisions must be spiritually led.  It is through the great power of prayer, we enter into the power of the holy spirit.  Time is short and getting shorter every single day.  You and I have an important decision to make.  Be sure that you pray earnestly to God about it.  It is when we do pray about our concerns I believe God hears every one of them and helps us to understand more fully, the scope of the entire outcome. Christ be with us, be in us, in all circumstances, reveal to us Lord yourself, and may we experience the outcome you believe is best for us all, when all is said and done, amen.
