Why do we as Catholic's remember the saints?  Why is the day of their death, considered their special Feast day?  In studying the lives of the saints, we learn a great deal about how they lived in Jesus Christ.  And how they deeply represented the saintliness that is required, the obedience that is necessary, when immitating the true life and love of Christ to another Christian.  Each Catholic has a story to tell.  And alot of the saints were ordinary people doing extra ordinary works for Jesus!  They sacrificed everything within their being to help God's children who perhaps had a greater need that could be filled instantaneously through the presence of God living in his people.
The cry of the less fortunate, is heard by God and by those choosing to go out and serve the hurting, the sick, the poor, the lonely, the abandoned, the neglected.  Men and women who love Christ aren't afraid to serve others.  The saints especially, in their time in history, were soley devoted and they documented for us the Christ ordained mission they were solely given to further our knowledge of God working through them and to also inspire us as Christians to seek out the true path he wants for us to take.  Jesus inspires us through our crosses in life.  Through the people he brings to us, through the men and women our children marry, through the grandchildren they bring into the world, God ordains all of this for our growth, our maturity, and our soul's salvation.  The inspiration begins here and now today.  And we have the option of participating or not, being part of Gods most perfect plans, or not.  And when we choose correctly, when we are in line with our Lord, the blessings come our way, and fill our lives with joy, with hope, with promise.  Gods promises are guarenteed.  And in following Gods promises we grow together, we prosper in all aspects of life given to us to live in it and through it fully, we can experience Jesus, and his grace in abundance, and its a very exciting journey as a Catholic, that we should all be looking into.  We should not miss out on everything our Lord wants for us.  We can be healed, we can live happier lives, its all about choosing Christ, having Christ in us, and putting on the mind of Christ when we speak, when we act, when we love, it is then we are truly living in the perfection of Christs plan for us as children of God.  Don't miss the opportunity to continue on the path of great growth with Christ.  He is your creator and mine.  And when we have his love living inside of our hearts, we are a tranformed person, at the peak of happiness, at the peak of our creativity, at the peak of everything that is good, in the purist sense, and when we have that combination within us we go forward living a great life because Jesus at at the helm of every breadth, and every word, and every action we take.   Today my husband and I were blessed to receive the gift of our first grand daughter being born.  I have prayed to Elizabeth Ann Seton's intercession for her life.  And now, I look forward to meeting her for the first time.  Our hearts are just bursting inside with joy!  We are first time grand parents giving our fullest gratitude to Jesus and Mary, whose  protection we never take for granted.  The love of our children have brought us to this beautiful reality, the holy trinity!  And now we look forward to welcoming our very first grand daughter.  Oh yes, our little one has arrived safely, and she will no doubt change our lives, forever!  As her journey begins, our entire family looks forward to every celebatory moment given to us by God to unite with her in his love.  I had the best time of my life raising four beautiful children, and now, I get to see our son and daughter, raise a beautiful family to call their very own.
