For the past sixteen months I have had the honor of sharing with you my podcast. The reason for having it, has very little to do with me and everything to do with you. It is all about recognizing this powerful and awesome God living inside of every soul, every heart, every mind, he has ever created to speak, listen, live, responsibly, respectfully as children of God. That is who we are and who we belong to and who will come back for us on the day we die.
We seldom think about what God is doing in us, we seldom pay that close attention to what is quietly going on behind the scenes with God in our daily lives. I am honestly trying to bring forth this truth because I don't think that any of us recognize that the creator of the world is alive and present and living within us. I know this because, I have lived out half my life without him and the other half I now live with him shows a real contrast and difference between the two.
Who I was and who I became after my relationship was established with God are two totally different people. I get sad when I think about all the people I have known that have never considered this truth and they have already passed away from their earthly journey into the next life never knowing about this wonderfully hidden relationship with our Lord.
I am not sure what happens to those individuals who never acquaint themselves with God. My hope, my prayer is that someone very close to them was in fact a prayer warrior like myself interceding on their behalf throughout their entire lifetime. Sort of like their guardian angel.
I always believed that God was real. And at an early age feared to be a bad person. It was instilled in my upbringing to be good, to be kind, through the examples of my late ancestors, who were holy women, especially the two twin sisters who were nuns on my great grandmothers side of the family . We met when I was 11 years old. We met on a family pilgrimage to way to our lady of Czestochowa, in Doylestown Pennsylvania, and I never saw them again. They were already up in age and I am sure they are long past and with Jesus in heaven.
Fortunately, I feel truly blessed that I was in fact paying attention to the women in my life growing up. I saw the elder women especially very prayerful in my midst, the matriarchs were so strong, after all they had survived two world wars. Their blood was in my veins, and I was given an inner strength to be strong perhaps like them not knowing they were then and are now, that close to me now. So in essence they are and I am a part of Gods awesome, wonderful, most powerful plan. And as His plan unravels itself in me and through me to you, all I can say is this - It is important to live in the truth, its important to know who you are, where you came from, and where you are going. And more importantly to never lose sight of how worthy you are in the eyes of God. You are of great worth. You come from great stock. And He loves you and wants what is best for you always and that is to seek him, to love him, to serve him, and fully trust in his intercession for your life. And when we do all the above, something wonderful happens to us, beyond what we could have done on our own. We cannot take the credit whatsoever, it is God, and in Gods love is exactly where we were meant to be. When you find Him, you follow him, and when you follow him, your path is made straight, and the most meaningful life imaginable unfolds in you. A gift beyond all telling. And that gift is available for everybody, who desires to know this wonderful reality, and the world becomes the flame of love God intended, aflame that heals, a flame that comforts, a flame that loves beyond the love of self.
