Do we understand the Eucharist?  When we consume the body of Christ at every holy mass do we really connect with God in mind, body, soul, and spirit?  Do we build upon this important encounter?  It is spiritual, yes, it is physical, yes, a piece of bread, does become the body of Christ, that truly is living within us.  We consume our Lord and the mystery of Him is both profound and beautiful, for our Lord is physically living inside of the body we carry, and unknowingly we will bring God with us, and in every circumstance and situation we will experience today.  As Fr. O' Doherty has mentioned several times before, we will go on with our day after mass and completely forget Christ is present.  But what if we chose for just one morning to stay with him just a little while longer in the chapel?   Could you remain in his presence silently as the congregation empties themselves from the pews, can you remain in total contemplation and just remain in him?  It's a really good question.  There are so many distractions that take us away from our Lord and creator.  Why that is remains to be seen.  However, we can, if we choose to put on Christ, and shut out the whispers of the world, and just give him our utmost attention, we would benefit greatly by this sacrifice, because in turn, God wants us to desire his company in the silent recesses of our hearts.  And yet we fail time and again to do it on a daily basis.  I want to challenge you today to consider staying after mass even if it is only once a week and remain in the silent company of our Lord, and allow him to speak directly to your heart.  We need the silence, we need to hear Gods message to us.  He wants to guide us all the time properly, so that we remain solely in him.  Try to remember the importance of receiving holy communion, and what it truly represents.  Try to enter into more deeply the holy presence of our Lord, so that you can live abundantly in him and in his grace and in his choicest blessings for your life and for the lives of those yet to know him and love him the way that you do.  So many of our brothers and sisters are wandering in the darkness and they have yet to see a great light.  I pray that that light burns away with them every desire that places God second.  You and I know as Catholic's who we are, what our purpose is, and that same purpose is always available to everyone, we just need to be that spark of light and truth in the world to ignite and unite others to the path that will give them hope, and eternal salvation.  We have to be prepared for the journey toward Christ while still living on earth, and my hope is this, that every rosary I pray, converts all souls to Christ, my hope is that they will find Jesus before they take their last breadth, my hope is that the eyes that read this and the ears that hear the canticle, experience a greater gift than conversion, that they will go out as apostles and disciples and bring everyone back to the faith.  We were assigned by God a certain task, that is both individual and personable, and worldly.  You and I, were meant to go forth and preach the gospel, by our good works, and not just by our words.  This amazing reality must be discovered as a priceless precious treasure, and revealed that a treasure like this belongs to all of human kind.  So stand up today for the love of Christ crucified, stand up for the truth and defend all life, and God in his mercy will always be available to you, especially when you need him the most.  Try to look daily at the blessings God gives to you.  Reflect upon each day as a gift of his love for you!  Take that gift and share it.  Take that gift and experience it fully.  You will be your best self in Him.  Christ makes sense.  No confusion whatsoever exists in him! Christ is everything.
