Sin. It has a way of taking us down all the wrong paths of life. Sin keeps us stuck in darkness. Sin sets our lives back. Sin must be purged in its entirety in order to move forward in life. If we hold onto sin it literally paralyzes us. The good news is in the beautiful Catholic Faith, we do not have to be slaves to sin. We can go to a really good Catholic church and experience forgiveness of our sins. We can speak directly with a holy Catholic priest willing to listen to our deepest heartfelt confession. We can prepare ourselves by writing down our past sins, and when we arrive at the confessional we can read off the list. Being absolved is an amazing experience. Because you are forgiven by God through a properly trained priest, there is a difference when you walk out of the confessional. You can be so moved to tears because of past sin, and then God removes that sorrow and replaces it with joy. As we mature in our walk with God and in faith, we can see ourselves in a beautiful light, the light of Gods love shining within us. We are his children, we fail, we make mistakes, but we endure in this life because it is all about our journey with God. Once it begins, we are never ever the same people. We are God's children, we are special, and HE wants the absolute best for our lives. He wants for us to be with HIM forever, for all eternity. But we have to give HIM our free will. When we cooperate with his grace, something special happens. We mature greatly in HIM. We realize the importance of this relationship, and we do everything in our power to make Christ a new priority in our lives moving forward. With him we can never go backwards, halleluia for that! You see, its simple, when we choose Christ, HE can work through us and what HE accomplishes in us we could never do alone. When we want to rise above our situation in life, and we see that its an impossible task, I encourage you to pray and ask God to assist you through it. Prayer removes a multitude of sin. We can be sinning and not pay attention at all to our sins. And they pile up and we become a mess inside of ourselves. And that mess can only be undone fully undone through prayer, fasting, and in desiring to be cleansed by God himself. So yeah, we need God to come out of it completely. We can try to work through our sins on our own, but we will only get so far, and then we fall right back into sin. We need Gods Divine Intervention. We need Jesus, his Holy Mother Mary, and we need really good Catholic faithfilled men and women who love Christ first and foremost, to help us cross over from darkness and sin, into the light of Gods truth! We as Christians, as Catholics have an advantage, to do something really great with the gift of faith we were given at our Baptism. All we need to do is say Yes Lord, I come to do your most perfect will. And watch God's miraculous love unfold in you! It's simple. It's yours for the taking, question is, are you ready? I was 25 when I got serious about my relationship with Christ. That was 36 years ago, I have confessed my deepest darkest sins and I am free. Free to live for all eternity with my creator! I want that for you. I believe God wants that for all of us. We get there by loving one another. Helping one another. Encouraging one another. By being honest. It is then we can begin to see Christ in everyone. It is then we begin to live our eternal life here on earth. In every set of eyes you see, it is Christ, and you and I were made to reflect HIS image.
