January Commissioner appointed to USDA role Former Box Elder County Commissioner Stan Summers closed one chapter of public service and began another as he moved into a state leadership role with the U.S. Department of Agriculture. Summers ended his time on the Box Elder County Commission after 12 years in office—a span of three terms that began in 2013.
