Former Willard City planning commissioner, Diana Baker, is returning to city service, rejoining the planning commission as an alternate after the Willard City Council approved her appointment Aug. 28. Mayor Travis Mote said Baker will fill the seat vacated by Ruth Beebe, who stepped down, while Commissioner John Pierce also resigned recently to travel. Councilmembers voted unanimously to confirm Baker on a motion from Rod Mund and a second by Jacob Bodily.
