The term "sober curious" was coined by the author Ruby Warrington, who wrote a 2018 book about the topic.  Since then, this movement has seen a rise in social media interest, support groups, and apps to support others in the exploration to assess their own relationship with alcohol.  The alcohol-free beverage market is also booming, which is providing more choices and palatable options beyond the usual Shirley Temple or soda water with lime. 

Deb Podlogar made the decision two years ago to take a break from her Chardonnay habit.  During the process, she leaned into her energy, passion, and enthusiasm for her journey to share with others, who were seeking tools and support to be successful in their own quests to be more mindful about alcohol consumption.  Deb is now the story behind the funny, authentic, and engaging Mocktail Mom platform.  You are going to love her honesty and humor!
