Hij is chef van het restaurant genoemd naar zijn eigen naam Vrijmoed in Gent.
Ondertussen al 10 jaar in Gent gastronomisch goed bezig met 2 michelinsterren op zijn naam en dat van zijn team.
Michael stond mee aan de wieg van Fourchette en is nu ook één van de deelnemende chefs aan het gastronomische event 'Fourchette' dat plaatsvindt op 27, 28, 29 mei 2023.
