I highlight the over-emphasis on conflict, villains, and agency in stories, which are not necessary for actual living. I discuss the concept of the Ego as our self-concept, made up of "I am" statements. Stories are a tool for living, but they can also lead us astray by assigning agency to everything, even natural disasters.
