In Luke 14, Jesus speaks a parable about a certain man preparing a great banquet and inviting many guests. When the invited guests don't arrive, the man's servants go out and bring in the poor, the crippled, the blind and lame. Afterwards, the servants go out into the roads and country lanes to compel people to attend the great banquet.
