Description

The best stories contain conflict and resolution. Without conflict, the resolution doesn't hold any emotional weight. When we identify with the characters and their struggles throughout their journey, however, the resolution is richly celebrated.

It's the same with the Bible. What may seem like a collection of separate stories is, actually, one continuous story with a thread running through it all. It's God's great rescue plan through which He would redeem all of mankind, saving us from eternal separation from Him. This plan culminated in the birth of Christ, which we celebrate every year at Christmas.

Why do we celebrate, though? What's the reason for all our singing and praising and rejoicing? Why all the festivities and "hoopla," as we sometimes say?
