This week Jeff is paying tribute to Walter Parazaider of the band Chicago who passed away.

Chicago’s origins in 1967, rehearsing in a basement. They began building a sound centered around a horn section—an idea Parazaider pushed from the beginning as a founding member. He once described the band’s early days ambition simply: they wanted to become “the best in the world.”

The episode also highlights Walter’s unmistakable musical fingerprints: the flute solo on Colour My World and the role he played shaping the band’s signature sound across decades.
