Description

This week, we unveil a brand new sermon series here at Hope. It's called "Safe to Hope- Unshakable Truth for an Unbreakable Hope." Over the next six weeks, we will be covering some the Bible's most foundational teachings through the form of narrative. We'll answer questions like: "What does the Bible say about sin and grace?" "How is it that someone gets saved?" "How can I know that any of this is true?" And more questions like these. These are the foundational truths of the Bible. When you understand these, then you are beginning to understand the love of God for you. When you understand these, then you will have a hope that cannot be broken!

Tomorrow, we'll take a hard look at one of Jesus' most well-known parables: the parable of the prodigal son. Give it a read in Luke 15:11-32. As you read, you'll see 3 distinct characters; 3 distinct characters that Jesus uses to teach us about what his kingdom is like. He uses the actions of the sons to teach about the reality of sin in all of us. And he uses the patient and enduring love of the father to teach about the grace- the undeserved love- of God.
