What words should we use? Words are to pastors what the law is to police officers, and what coding is to programmers. Words are a pastor thing. They’re my craft. Everything I do, I do with words. I don’t use any other tools.
They’re a pastor thing, but they’re not just a pastor thing. Every time that you use words, they matter. Oh man, do words matter. Words can make your day in a second and wreck your month in a moment. Words alone can leave you crying in the dark, and lift you higher than you've ever been. Words have built nations, and words have torn nations to shreds. Words matter.
So, what words should you use? Paul has principles for us to use to guide our words in Ephesians 4:25-5:2.
