The sharp rise in interest rates and the higher inflationary environment has led to the real estate sector falling out of favour over the last 18 months, with fund managers being the most underweight to the sector since the global financial crisis. With central banks pausing interest rate hikes and possibly near their peaks, what does this mean for the investment opportunities in real estate?
