The Psalms - a collection of poems in the Bible that scholar, Tim Mackie, describes as a “literary temple” - are a place for us, God’s people, to open and be transported into the presence of God.
We opened Psalm 23 and - with King David as our prayer coach - longed to be a different type of community in the city. A community that doesn’t take control for ourselves but invites God to set the table.
