“...but Susie makes it look so easy…”
Is there a version of this that you say to yourself?
Be honest.
We are ALWAYS comparing ourselves, and yes, even our learning process to those around us, and we usually come up short. Why? Because we compare ourselves to the people who are already where we want to be! We don’t look at those behind us, or take into consideration all the elements that got the ‘greats’ to where they are. We just want to be there… now.
Today, Maren and Stephanie talk about the cultural and personal damage this ‘way-of-doing’ creates, and how damaging it is to leaders, teams and businesses. They also share great information on the antidote… ‘slow learning’ - what it is, how to embrace it and the crazy benefits! What beautiful world it would be if everyone could value their own, unique slow learning process!
***note from Maren*** Right after we recorded this podcast I opened an email from one of my favorite seed companies, Terroir Seeds. They included this quote in their email, which was so perfectly timed, I had to share it with you:
“Everything that slows us down and forces patience, everything that sets us back into the slow circles of nature, is a help. Gardening is an instrument of grace.”
