In previous episodes I’ve referenced my experiences with bulimia, binge eating disorder, and body dysmorphia, but I’ve never really told the full story of how it developed, and how I broke the cycle and recovered. I’m going to tell you the full story in this episode, with the hope that it will encourage some of us to take a second look at our relationship with food, exercise, and how we view our bodies. 

There are two things I want to clarify before we start do...

  1. At no point am I blaming anyone for anything they did or didn’t do while I was growing up. I truly believe that everyone is always doing the best they can with what experience and resources they have available to them. 
  2. What you’re about to hear may be triggering, so only listen if you feel you can safely do so. I will be talking about things that may be triggering for people struggling with, or those of us who have struggled with eating disorders.
