Joining us from Sydney, Australia is award winning author and all round good guy James Vella Bardon. Despite being a family man with a full time career in the corporate world, James somehow finds the time to be a prolific writer. His first novel, The Sheriff's Catch, I had the pleasure to read recently. I love historical fiction and it's a barnstorming page-turner, meticulously researched. It follows the exploits of Abel de Santiago and tells the story of the Spanish Armada from the Spaniards' perspective. Hellbent on revenge on those who wronged him, Santi goes on a full-blown, Liam Neeson style rampage across Holland, Spain and Ireland. It's really good. I'm pleased to say it's the first of 5 novels in the Sassana Stone series and I'm looking forward to reading the second instalment, A Rebel North, which is released in August.
