The setting is the upper room. Love is the theme—authentic love. Jesus had just washed his disciples’ feet in humble service, and now he would demonstrate radical love to even a greater degree. When Jesus washed his disciple’s feet, it demonstrated his amazing love. However, as the night continued, Jesus’ love reached out to two failing disciples Judas and Peter.
