John 17 is one of the greatest chapters in the Bible. It is the moment where Christ's heart is bared to his father in his final public prayer before he went to the cross.
Christ's prayer divides into three sections.
· In verses 1-5 he prayed for himself.
· In verses 6-9 he prayed for his apostles.
· In verses 20-26 he prayed for the church in the world.
In this teaching we will focus on verses 1-5.
