Today we encounter Jesus as He journeys to Jerusalem for a feast of the Jews. Along the way, He comes across a pool called Bethesda, a place packed with disabled individuals seeking healing. They would lay around the pool b/c of a superstitious belief that when the water was stirred, the first one in the pool would be healed. Among them is a man who has been an invalid for an astonishing thirty-eight years. Here’s what happened. John 5:1-47
