The Sahara Desert is everything you imagine—and more chaotic, windy, and surreal. In this episode, I recount my journey from Marrakech through the Atlas Mountains, the ancient city of Ait Benhaddou, Dades Gorge, and Todra Valley, finally arriving at Merzouga. I share the terrifying, exhilarating camel trek across sand dunes, the wind pelting my face and packing sand into every crevice, the desert camp with Berber music, and climbing a dune that may have let me glimpse Algeria. Sleeping under the stars, eating tagine in the desert, and riding back in a car over dunes I’ll never forget—this is the Sahara like I experienced it, raw and unfiltered.
