Gods word tells us Godliness with contentment is of great gain. Gratitude makes what we have enough and when what we have is enough we are content. That's why Paul the Apostle could praise God while in a prison cell. He was content and in the midst if his gratitude he gained his freedom. Our gains are received through gratitude instead of being the reason why we’re grateful.
