Description

For this episode we were joined by Stylist and European fashion editor of American outlet, Bleu Magazine , Sean Azeez-Bright.

We've been meaning to get more stylists on the platform so we are delighted to have had Sean on the pod! Sean has been styling for a number of years now and has built up an incredible list of clients ranging from Tinnie Tempah and Central Cee, to Jermaine Jeans and Patrice Evra. Having studied at the Fashion retail academy, Sean values the importance of education within fashion and much of our conversation revolved around discussing how up and coming stylists can learn their trade early on in a way that enables them to have a successful future in styling.

Sean openly shares how he believes that he still has a long way to go in achieving his styling goals but as you will see in this episode, he has built up a wealth of knowledge despite still being fairly early on his career.

Sean is a firm believer in the importance of up and coming stylists learning the tricks of the trade by becoming styling assistants - something that has been seen as less important due to the rise of instagram where stylish influencers are somewhat able to skip this step. However, Sean shares why he believes that this step is fundamental in your styling journey and what he learned from his years as a styling assistant.

Sean also dives in to how important it is for stylists to be aware of the business side of the styling world and how you can actually go about making a comfortable living from it.

Since recording Sean has continued to excel in his styling career, adding many more great clients to his roster and further growing his designer fashion store, Focus Man Fashion.

Follow Sean to stay up to date with his ever growing career and follow Focus Man Fashion if you're looking for some designer clobber!
