Love to hear from and know who is listening
Is it possible to achieve a trouble free life? If you believe the old jingle from the Roto-Rooter commercials all you have to do is: “Call Roto-Rooter, that's the name and away go troubles do the drain!”... So is there such a thing as a trouble free, trail free life? Well I hate to disappoint you but if your searching for the answers to all your problems, your going to be sadly disappointed! If anyone tells you that they have a system for living the fairy tale happily ever after life... beware!!!
There are those that claim that becoming a Christian will erases all your problems; that it will lead to earthly wealth and success. This is not true!!! Becoming a believer in Christ is a wonderful new beginning, but it isn’t the end of pain or problems. Matter of fact it is the opposite, it is the beginning of facing up to them. Being a Christian involves a lifetime of hard work, dedicated study and difficult decisions. Christianity is not an insurance policy against life’s ills and troubles; it is about glorifying God in the midst of them.
In Mark chapter 4 Jesus was with the disciples and had been preaching to a crowd using parables. At the end of the day he told the disciples, “Let's go over to the other side of the Sea of Galilee and they got in the boat and left the crowd behind.”
I am confident that my all knowing, all seeing, omnipotent heavenly Father, knew there would be a violent storm as they crossed the sea.... Even knowing, there was an approaching storm, he was able to lay down and take a nap... if it had not been for the panicked disciples screaming out, “Teacher, don't you care if we drown? Wake up and help us get to the other side before we sink!” Jesus may well have slept through the storm! God may not take away trials or even make detours for us, but He strengthens us through them. This becomes part of our testimony to the unbelieving world—and it has the ability to point others to the Savior.
Living the Christian life is serious business. If we have our eyes upon ourselves, our problems, and our pain, like the disciples did when crossing the Sea of Galilee, we won't be able to see anything but our impending doom, the surrounding storms of our lives. However, if we keep our eyes focused on the Jesus Christ the one that can calm the storms. We can have the assurance that even in the midst of the storm, the trials and troubles of this life, we will make it to the other side because he is with us every step of the way!
