Whether you choose to believe it or not your soul will live for eternity. Where your soul spends eternity, Heaven or Hell,... is up to you! We live in a messy, confusing world that is cursed with sin and pain. There are no more prophecies that need to be fulfilled before Jesus can come back for his church. We are surely living in the Last Days!!!
Revelation 22:20 NIV He who testifies to these things says, “Yes, I am coming soon.” Amen. Come, Lord Jesus.
2,000 years ago John said the time was at hand. Was he wrong? No not at all! The time is at hand. It may not be immediate, but it is imminent. The last days began soon after Jesus was crucified, immediately after he ascended into heaven. So yes, we are living in the last days.
The imminence of Jesus’ return can be described as walking along the edge of the ocean’s shore. Some people may believe that we are off in the distance headed toward the second coming. We must remember though that God does not comprehend or measure time and distance like we do.
2 Peter 3: 7-9 NIV By the same word the present heavens and earth are reserved for fire, being kept for the day of judgment and destruction of the ungodly. But do not forget this one thing, dear friends: With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day. The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.
According to the Book of Revelation, the future includes the rapture of the saints and the tribulation of this world. It prophesies of the Battle of Armageddon, the beast, the millennium, and the glorification of the Savior. It tells us of the final judgment, in which each of us will learn of the eternal state of our souls. From the time that Jesus came the first time until He comes again, we have been living on the edge of eternity. The time is at hand; anytime, Jesus may return. At any moment the trumpet may sound and the saints, those that profess Jesus Christ as their Savior, will be raptured out of this world and taken up into heaven. When the saints are taken out, the Antichrist will turn the world into a vast concentration camp and all the inmates will be numbered. No one will be able to buy or sell without the mark of the beast.
Revelation 13: 16-18 NIV It also forced all people, great and small, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hands or on their foreheads, so that they could not buy or sell unless they had the mark, which is the name of the beast or the number of its name. This calls for wisdom. Let the person who has insight calculate the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man. That number is 666.
One day, sinners will stand before Jesus Christ. The dead will be raised to stand before Jesus and be judged. If you do not meet the Lord Jesus Christ as Savior, then you will meet Him as your Sovereign Judge. Is your name written in the Book of Life?
At anytime, Jesus may return. At any moment the trumpet may sound. We are living on the edge of eternity. GET RIGHT OR GET LEFT BEHIND!!!!
