As we transition from 1 Kings focussing just on Kings to a focus on the Prophets, we read the story of Elijah’s encounter with the widow. The miracle God does to provide for her is of course a huge blessing for her, but also speaks to an important part of our own walk following Jesus; faith. What do we believe about faith? Why does faith matter? What is the bigger story that God is teaching the widow and us through this encounter?
