What does it really mean to be a father?

This week, I sat down with attorney, mentor, and father Byron Bailey to talk about responsibility, legacy, leadership, and raising young Black boys.

We talked about growing up without fathers, learning from grandfathers, showing up for our children, trusting systems while still doing our job as parents, and why accountability starts at home.

One thing Byron said that stuck with me:

"Fatherhood is an assignment."

Not a title.
Not a status.
An assignment.

And how we show up every day determines the impact we leave on our children and the generations that come after them.

Tune in now to hear the full conversation.
