More than 20 countries in Africa are either at high risk or in debt distress. Debt service payments across the continent are projected to reach 26 billion dollars by 2025. At the Launch of the 2023 African Economic Outlook, AfDB President Akinwumi Adesina highlighted Africa’s debt vulnerabilities and why the debt restructuring conversation needs to be all-encompassing.
