Zechariah was a blameless priest whose prayer for a son was answered while he was serving in the temple. Zechariah's blameless life, and his son who will have the spirit and power of Elijah, are fulfillments of the Lord's commands and promises in Malachi 4:4-6: the last three verses of the Old Testament.
