I do not like to read instruction manuals. It seems a waste of time and it seems to take a blow to my intelligence and manhood. However, the final product never looks anything like the picture on the box when I am done with the build out or installation. So, I have a dilemma. Do I pay attention to the blueprint and have the desired result at the end, or do I go my own way and just hope it functions at some capacity?
Too often, we tend to not understand and study the blueprint for church. Many go their own way and the product at the end looks nothing like the blueprint. In our passage today, God gives his blueprint for the church. And if we will follow His instructions, we will experience a Christ-centered, mature Church and the community will get swept up in the beautiful effects of His people doing Church His way!
May the worship service this morning be a blessing to your soul and provide a prodding to follow the blueprint of Ephesians 4.
