The straw that broke the camel’s back, The final limit of capacity, including patience. An Arabian anecdote told of a camel whose owner loaded the beast of burden with as much straw as possible. Not satisfied with the staggering load he had put on the camel, the owner added just one last piece of straw. Even that one wisp was too much, and the animal collapsed with a broken back, leaving the owner with no way to take his goods to the market. The story is a parable for all the times you've been repeatedly irritated until you just can't take it anymore and you finally explode.
One person can only take so much or do so much, then comes the breakdown and nothing gets done. If success depends on one person, if we all rely on one person, failure shall be the outcome. Not even God is One – Deuteronomy 6:4; YACHID – united one; Jews changed it to ECHAD – absolute one. God is three persons making up the one Godhead, each doing his own part to complete the task. The Father oversees the world, Jesus oversees the church, the HS oversees your very soul. They work together to accomplish our salvation, to bless us with eternal. Life.
Israel needed to learn this lesson for them to build the Tabernacle Exodus 18:13-24; The body of Christ needed to learn this lesson for them to grow. Acts 6:1-5; Paul reinforces this lesson to us today, everyone needs to play a part Ephesians 4:16
1 John 1:6-7; Fellowship – KOINONIA Acts 2:42; The third fruit of the Holy Spirit is Peace – Romans 12:18; which only happens when people communicate with each other. Ukraine & Russia
To be able to bear one another’s burdens, we need to know what people’s burdens are. Galatians 6:2 We need to be communicating to prevent stress and disaster from happening to each other. A spiritual conversation = a holy kiss – Romans, 1 & 2 Corinthians, 1 Thessalonians, 1 Peter - Kiss of love
Benefits of having an active support system running all the time

- Stimulates us to think about love and good deeds.
Israel learned they couldn’t rely on one man to see them through. In a time of crisis God provided a solution through Jethro his father in law. The church learned they couldn’t rely on the apostles to do all the work. In a time of crisis God provided them with the solution, 7 deacons to get work done. God has taught us through Paul that we belong to a living body, we cannot survive on our own. Though we are many different parts, together we make the whole, body of Christ.
One lesson from covid is this, that lockdowns, the isolation killed more than the disease itself. Isolation destroys fellowship, to prevent this, we need an active communication system. We need to have a support system running all the time.
Mis-quoting JFK don’t ask what the church can do for me but ask what can I do for the church.
