Ezekiel tells us of the Word that came to him concerning a proverb of the children of Israel. This proverb, indicating that current problems were simply a result of their parents' mistakes, was forbidden by the Lord. The indication given by God was that they did not have to be prisoners to their past but that God could give them the strength to overcome their past.
