Description

Argenta. Johnsons Landing. Silverton.

Then there's Jasper, Golden, and a whole host of other British Columbia and Alberta communities either savaged or threatened by wildfire this summer. If this is the "new normal," then the status quo has to change — ASAP.

After having spent much of the day assisting, in any way he could, evacuees who pitched up in Kaslo in various states of trauma, shock, disbelief, and dread, host Randy Morse sat down with old friend — and one of the last to leave the tiny village of Silverton — Keith Liggett, to talk about Keith's harrowing experience as fire threatened to engulf his home.

In the absence of full-time, direct coverage in a deeply rural region that, as so many others, lacks that sort of communications & informational coverage , this is timely, important listening.
