Welcome to our next series featuring Vietnam Helicopter pilot Jim Thomas. Mr. Thomas flew Cobra gunships with the First Calvary starting in February 1970 in Vietnam. The Cobra gunship was a new attack helicopter to be used in tandem with smaller scout helicopters to flush out enemy and work with scouts on the ground. His story is fascinating and he even survived a few crashes.
