We dig into SPUTNIK, a Russian sci-fi horror hybrid directed by Egor Abramenko. Cosmonaut Konstantin - the lone survivor of Russian space mission, returns to earth from orbit and brings along an alien parasite… and as we all know, alien parasites are going to cause trouble. It’s just how they are. It’s what they do. We love seeing films from countries other than the USA, and this is an interesting ride for sure, but does it live up to its potential? Great production design and some terrific performances and icky special effects carry us through this one, but join us for the discussion to find out if it’s a total success.
SPOILER WARNING: This episode contains MAJOR SPOILERS which means important story details will be revealed. We always advise listeners to: Watch First Listen Later.
