After being tricked and trafficked from Bangladesh to India, 17-year-old Tashi was forced to marry a man who pretended to love her, but instead sexually assaulted and beat her. Our team rescued Tashi (along with her 18-month-old baby), but after her rescue, the police wrongly imprisoned Tashi. Our legal team is making every effort to free Tashi and her daughter from police custody so she can stay in a shelter home until she is repatriated and returns safely to her family in Bangladesh.
