Is anyone out there a thrift-store enthusiast like me? Other people’s stuff is addictively fascinating to me. Garage sales and thrift store are among my happy places. However, along with bringing home that great sweater, silver ring or antique lamp, what else might I have brought home? Could there be a spirit attached to it? By buying “used” have I invited something unsavory to live with me? In our story, “Garage Sale,” by Janet Fox, a young woman finds an unusual treasure for $5.00, but ends up regretting her purchase.
