Anointing is when God sets someone apart and marks them for a specific purpose. It's a divine endorsement. The Holy Spirit comes upon a person to empower them to fulfill an assignment. It's not earned—it's given. Yes, it's a GIFT from Jesus and He wants us to use allow the Holy Spirit to operate our everyday life, especially in reconciliation.
