• Distorts the image of God in leadership.
• Breaks trust with those we lead.
• Prolongs cycles of hurt and retaliation.

A leader with revenge in their heart will eventually self-destruct. 

• Are you nursing a plan to make someone pay?
• Do you justify harsh treatment because of past betrayal?
• Are you leading from a place of pain instead of purpose?

Lay down the sword of revenge. Pick up the cross of Christ. Forgiveness does not ignore wrong—it simply refuses to become the wrong.
