As we come to the end of chapter 2, everything is absolutely perfect. There is no sin at all, not even a trace. But this would all come to an end. How did it come to an end?
Satan, who had already fallen, entered the garden of Eden cleverly deceiving and tempting Eve. Eve was deceived and gave in to the temptation, thus sin entered the world. She then went to Adam, and he transgressed.
While we see the devastating entrance of sin into the world, we are also given a template of how Satan will tempt each one of us. We have his playbook. This may be one of the best passages to make us aware of the enemy's tactics and how best to defend against them in our spiritual walk.
May God open His word to our hearts. As we live in obedience to the word of God, may we be filled with the Holy Spirit. May we learn from this passage how to live the victorious Christian life.
