In this study, we continue to look at and draw lessons from the life of Cain. Cain was a man who clearly knew the truth of God, yet he chose to turn from it. Cain is a picture of every apostate who has lived and is alive today. The way of Cain is an intolerable life. It is a fruitless search for satisfaction apart from God. Such is the way for all who turn from the known truth found in Jesus Christ and His word.
We also looked at two Enochs. One from the line of Cain and one from the line of Adam through Seth. Enoch from the line of Cain has everything that life could offer except for God. All that he had and would be remembered by perished in the flood.
The Enoch from the line of Adam walked with God. He had a deep abiding relationship with God. This Enoch lives on in eternity. His name is recorded in the hall of faith eternally.
Which Enoch are we? Are we walking with God focused on eternity. Or are we living for this world and its temporal treasures?
